EduTourism Incubation and Innovation Programme

The program also seeks to incubate ethically grounded and contextually relevant research ideas, promote reciprocal knowledge exchange between academic participants and the community, strengthen competencies in field-based qualitative and mixed-method research, and encourage responsible Edu tourism that supports community wellbeing and sustainability. The conference expects to feature 20 scholars, inclusive of visiting scholars, international scholars and Malaysian scholars. The expected 20 researchers or visiting scholars will be featured as invited speakers.

Participants can actively engage in the following five areas of interest:

1.     Orang Asli culture, heritage, and indigenous knowledge practices

2.     Community livelihoods, economy, and sustainable development

3.     Education, language use, and intergenerational learning

4.     Health, wellbeing, and social support systems

5.     Environment, natural resource management, and responsible ecotourism

Beyond information sharing, the programme aims to build a strong network of academics and researchers committed to advancing green and sustainable technologies. Through collaboration and the exchange of ideas, the conference seeks to enhance the quality, visibility, and impact of research and scholarly publications.

We have also reached out to the settlements and JHEOA and will follow standard operating procedures for approval from the relative authorities to conduct the project in the orang asli Kuala Pilah settlement.
